Grandma Died
So long ago,
She went down to her grave.
My Grandma died,
And from her life...she gave.
Me insight for my soul,
That I could see beneath.
And in my understanding,
I could well bequeath.
All rights to speak aloud,
True freedom to be sought.
To gain the ways of gallantry,
And generous ways of thought.
So plainly... could I see,
Men's goodness to be sung.
And how the lay of words,
Could be truth upon the tongue.
Even though...God is the judge,
I have the power to see.
The goodness of my fellowmen,
Here in mortality.
