It Happened!

It actually happened. We got a SNOW DAY!

Now, please don't laugh at how little snow it is. It's sad really. But all of Austin had to shut down this morning. Texas just doesn't know what to do with this stuff!

Hubs woke me at 4:45 to let me know that I didn't have to go to work. It was the best news I've gotten in quite some time! But when you think about it, if I were a parent, I wouldn't want to entrust the safety of my child to bus drivers who have never driven in snow/ice. It makes sense that we got the day off. I was worried enough when hubs had to travel home in it at 5 in the morning. (He works a night shift.) Really scary!

Anyways, as the day went on, the snow melted very quickly. The sun came out, and it was a pretty beautiful day! A much needed break with books and DVR from the week. Even got some girl time with my friend, Monica.
