I fear we may have created a monster
Not long before we moved here, when Son One was just less than two, we visited a potential church. The people were very friendly and welcoming, and one family invited us back to their house for lunch. Alan played some choons on the piano for us, and to entertain Son One, he played the theme tune to Postman Pat. We felt so at home at that church we decided to stay. And every week from then on, when Alan was sat at the piano, Son One would go running up to him at the start of the service and yell "Play Poman Pat Alan!!" with a huge grin on his face. Alan and his family have since moved away btw. I don't *think* it was anything to do with us..
Anyhoo, tonight we were at church for the young people's group worship and fish & chips night. Sadly we don't really count as 'young people' ourselves any more, but were invited as TPD was one of the musicians. Son Two was busting some moves, dancing his little heart out. He was also fascinated by the instruments (including at one stage turning TPD's bass off, oops). Afterwards he had a go on the drums. He was really very good! Choosing each drum/cymbal in turn, and with a fairly decent rhythm. I suspect Poman Pat has come back to haunt us.
