When I got to work today, just as I was taking off my coat, the fire alarm went off, so kept my coat and went oustide again. I thought it was going to be one of those days. It wasn't, I'm glad to say! The only incident worth mentioning was that I was attacked by a sliding ladder and now a have a big bruise on my knee. Nothing serious!

Today we got to taste two of the new products we got in the shop. Benriach has released two additions to its already wide range. A 12 year old triple distilled malt called 'Benriach Horizons' and a 15 year old heavily peated malt finished in a port cask called 'Benriach Solstice'. Not bad. A heavily peated whisky finished in a port cask just sounds like a wrong combination but I think it actually works. It tasted better than it smelled in any case. The 12 year old was much lighter.

The weather was horrible again in Edinburgh, so not really in the mood for going out. The best thing is that I'm off this weekend!!!! :)
