Bury Market - Early Doors
About 9.30am at Bury's (outdoor) Market
My Dad and I spent the morning browsing around the stalls of Bury's Markets, and looking around the shops. Despite the weather, most of the outdoor stalls have good cover above, as shown here.
Bury Market is famous for it's Black Puddings which are sold on a number of stalls. There are two indoor markets, the first is a general market with all types of produce, cafes, clothes and haberdashery. The second sells meat and fish. I now know where I can buy a brace of pheasants, a rabbit or a partridge should the need arise. The outdoor market is huge, selling everything from black puddings to knitting wool and everything in between. It's a brilliant place to mooch around.
At a time when markets are dying out, Bury Market appears to be thriving. (Although, not at this time in the morning on a dull, chilly and windy day.)
