Extraordinary
I always thought windows were made via an industrial process wherein silica is heated to a specific temperature at which it melts and is fashioned into the required shape or form. Until I went to Nottingham, that is. It appears that the glass simply collects in the windowframe like rainwater in a puddle. Fascinating.
Nottingham also appears to be home to Venice's famous Bridge of Sighs, and some really old pubs, the latter actually being built into a big lump of sandstone so that you sit drinking your pint in a room with a funny shaped stone ceiling and a big pipey funnel thing at the top. Nottingham is very strange. It's also home to the rather marvellous Psycle where I proceeded to get absolutely trashed and dance about a lot.
Thanks Nottingham. THOTTINGHAM.
