Buddy

This is our dog Buddy and I think his name fits him perfectly. He has become my shadow ever since his bestfriend M.J. (our other golden) died last spring. M.J. was 15 and Buddy is 9. The two were like an old married couple. Buddy always looked out for M.J. and let him eat first and would also lick his ears clean for him every morning. It was hard on us and the boys when M.J. died, but I think it had to have been the hardest on Buddy. He now has become more of an indoor dog and is much more spoiled. He is a playmate for the kids and an alarm system and security blanket for me when the hubby is gone. Just knowing he is here always makes me feel more protected. I find it cute that he has such a pink nose. He used to dig in our yard and permanently turned it from black to pink. I think it gives him personality.
