Everlasting Flower

This is the "national flower" of the city of Baguio. It is called everlasting because the leaves do not wilt and can last forever after it has been harvested.

They are made into leis but since the leaf texture is a bit brittle, it is not so gentle on the neck and can cause some irritation.
