Gran's fish pie

Every 2 or 3 weeks on a Thursday night, all four of us go to Gran and Papa's for fish pie.

We always have fish pie and it always looks like this and nobody would think about wanting anything else. While I say it always looks like this, there are always variations in the ingredients, like tonight there were gherkins rather than capers and sometimes there have been different types of fish or prawns or different vegetables cropping up.

We were a four rather than a three because Melissa is back home this week.

You couldn't have persuaded me a few years ago that fish pie and a glass of milk would have been a favourite but this is a family fixture we all really look forward to.

The parsley is an abnormal garnish I stuck on top for my blip :)
