Bamburgh Castle

On the spur of the moment I decided to drive from Newcastle up to Bamburgh on the Northumberland coast. In was beautifully sunny when I left Newcastle so I figured I might get some good shots of the castle... wrong! By the time I got there the sky was a leaden grey and the wind was howling... I was struggling to even keep the camera steady to take a picture! Oh well, I'll return later in the year when the weather is more predictable. It's a spot which is great for sunrise shots as the castle is right on the beach but that would mean getting up exceedingly early (not something I'm good at!) and banking on good weather when I'm there.
