St Marys at Climping

I managed to leave work on time this evening after a rather relaxed day and that meant that I could stop and take my blip on the way home, I had already decided that I wanted to take photos of St Marys Church at Climping. I drive past this beautiful church twice a day but shockingly despite having done this for 5 years have never stopped to take a proper look.

All that changed this evening although I didn't have as much time as I would have liked (it just means that I will have to stop again!). There isn't much on the interwebbynet thing that I could find out about it except that the tower section of the church was built around 1180 with very complex architecture around the door for the era. The rest of the church was built around 1220 - 1230!
