Hooray for super glue and duct tape
This picture is on the descent from the Grand Torsai to the Pont St Charles, following the contours of the Gorges de Malpasset. There are a couple of pitches where you definitely don't want to fall, as this might lead to an attempt at flying through the gorge; an attempt that will only end in failure.
The view looks beyond the Fornet to Val d'Isere which is dominated by the Bellevarde. The Face (famous downhill course which I still haven't skied this season) zig-zags its way down the north (I think) face. To the left and in the distance, the two jagged peaks are the Grand Motte and La Pointe de la Grand Casse (I think).
Yesterday the exertions of the washing machine caused the seam of my ski pants to break along the derriere area, so I now have an inauspiciously placed piece of duct tape holding them together. Hooray for super glue and duct tape.
