"Hey I have an idea......"

Our kids are playing together now. They have always played around one another but now, they are playing with the same things at the same time and it is working. And seeing them problem solving and creating and using their imaginations together is really a beautiful thing.

Today's project that they came up with together was this:

"Hey, let's make trailers for our remote controlled cars!"

"Okay!!!!"

"And let's put Doggie in the trailer"

"Okay, and Boots. I want Boots in da trailer too"

And that is what they did. They collected some string and tape and created "trailers" for their remote controlled cars and then they had races down the hallway. And it really made me smile to see them relying on one another for ideas and suggestions. Of course I helped them with tying the string but the idea was all their own.

And lately, they have been using their imaginations and creating the most unique little projects and games. They are bonding now like friends instead of "big brother and little sister". This blip is a tiny little look into the "remote control car / trailer" project. They put a lot of thought into it and it warmed my heart hearing our son asking our daughter for ideas. And then realizing that yes, she had ideas that completely contributed to their project. And hearing the words, "Hey, I have an idea......" over and over and over again from each of them.
