Candlemas Day

If Candlemas Day be dry and fair,
Half the winter's to come and mair.
If Candlemas Day be wet and foul,
Half o' winter's gane at Yule.

Well it was pretty wet, foul (and cold) in Edinburgh today so maybe that bodes well (or maybe not). Didn't go for my swim but spent the day transferring files from old laptop to new laptop. Boring! Evening was down to the Sheraton (across the windswept Links) to SBC's Booklovers' Group. This month there was a bumper attendance of 14 to discuss 'The Piano Shop on the Left Bank' - score 6.1. Cold walk back.
