Love them or hate them

Why is it that hospitals seem to attract awful works of art? I came across these monstrosities at the Queen Elizabeth in Gateshead. Rather tastless I must say, although the nice light helped their case slightly. On a plus note, my Julie's operation went to plan today. Looking forward to having her back home and to a full recovery.
