Tamarind on the Tree

Lot's of these on my street! Yesterday there was a guy up in one of them shaking it like crazy (I though he was a monkey at first) to get the pods down. I picked up a pod from the sidewalk this morning on my way to work, but thought better about snacking on it since public urination is pretty common on the sides of main roads..
