Grandfather

Spent the day packing things in my grandmother's house who is moving to an apartment tomorrow. The house is getting too big and has too many stairs.

While packing I found this postcard my grandfather had sent his family from Germany during the war. When he was sixteen he was arrested / picked up by the Germans in Rotterdam and was sent to work in Germany.

It is strange to realise how much my grandparents have gone through during their lives. My grandfather was taken from his family and sent to work in Germany and then fought in the war in Indonesia all before he was 25. Still my grandfather was the nicest man you could ever imagine, a little more than a year after he passed away I still miss him.
