Jellico Mountain
What a week!
I left Chicago yesterday afternoon on a business trip to Atlanta. It was a last minute trip and with the blizzard on the way I was not able to get a flight out. Atlanta is a 13 hour drive.
When I left Chicago the weather was fine. I made it 4 hours to Indinapolis before I had to stop due to the ice storm. This morning I left Indy during a break in the storm and drove 6 more hours to Knoxville Tennessee.
I hit the mountains before dark and managed to get a few shots. Mostly under exposed. It was slightly raining and foggy and my camera was having trouble focusing. Trying to shoot with my camera under a coat to keep it dry made it impossible for me to manually focus. Ah, the frustration!
So, now I'm sitting in a hotel in Knoxville Tennessee listening to the news. "Its a white out in Chicago" The worst blizzard ever! Chicago is getting hit with up to 2 feet of snow and I'm sitting in beautifully warm weather.
Only 3 more hours to drive tomorrow. Hope it doesnt rain. haha!
