Yawn...
Yawn!!!! Had a miserable night. H was back up at 12.30am, and that was her and I until about 5.30am. She didn't have a temperature, but wouldn't go to sleep. I could see she was clearly tired, but she wanted to play, watch TV, moaned, cried, fake cried, etc etc! We must have read about 20 books, but she wouldn't go back in her cot (I couldn't leave her to cry for long as she is ill and I didn't want her being sick again), but she wouldn't sleep in the spare room with me as she just stands up and jumps about holding onto the bars. She would happily snuggle into me, but if I tried to lie down, she just woke up and moaned/cried. I suppose I am quite lucky that I haven't had a night this bad before with her!
Remarkably, after she did get to sleep (after a big dose of Calpol at 5am), she slept through to about 11am, so at least we caught up on some sleep. I took the day off work (although I am so busy, I am going in on Friday instead) and in the afternoon, my Mum and Dad came up to visit. The good news is that H hasn't had any medication all day, and her temperature is totally normal. Hurray! Fingers crossed we are back to normal tonight. Went to bed at 8pm, and not a peep since!
Tonight, I was optimistically packing her bag for nursery tomorrow when she came out of the bath. She put on her hat and mittens and I thought she looked very cute - she is definitely a hat girl, just like her Mummy.
