Trying HDR

This is my first attempt at trying to create a HDR image. The tutorial said it will give you greater detail and tonal range. I took three exposures of St Maelruans (over /under exposed by 1.7). Using the HDR facility in Photoshop, it merged the images and I fiddled with curves etc.

I saved the output as a 16 bit Tiff and then opened the image in Nikon Capture to add a touch of infra red. However all this messing around caused the camera data to be wiped. Not clever. I would appreciate comments on how not to wipe the camera data. It must have been when I converted to TIFF?

The end result is not too bad.
