Buoys Ahoy!

I was walking the dog and I came across these buoys (fenders to be specific) lying in the field. You must know that cranleigh isn't anywhere near the sea! Were at least 40 miles away from anything salty! And about 15 miles from anything fresh! - at a guess anyway...
I was intrigued to find these articles lying in the conner of said field...
The dog wasn't the least bit interested, but I took an interest being a sailor by nature! I thought maybe this was the final resting place of Noah's ark or a remnant from an ice age... I'm not sure if I can prove it though...

Worth speculating!
