sunset over cumbria

This was taken from the train - I'm away from home... again. I was trying to capture something that spoke of my disenchantment with traveling. I took a few pics of the inside of one of those Virgin pendolino carriages - they always make me feel claustrophobic and project discomfort. I was playing around with the shadows and saturation when, finally, i glimpsed sunshine out of the window and snatches of a pleasant sunset. And then I decided to focus on a highlight of the day rather than wallow in my misery.

This is somewhere between Carlisle and Penrith - we were travelling at a fair lick so I'm slightly amazed how sharp it is.
