Bass Head
A bitterly cold (but sunny) walk along the prom with the dogs first thing, then back to my desk to work., and later filling in my tax return (last minute as usual). Then after a late afternoon walk (cold but not sunny) I called in for a cuppa with a student couple (both keen photographers) whom I met last night watching the starlings coming in to roost (and the peregrine falcon raiding them) at Aberystwyth pier.
The bread I baked yesterday turned out really well, so I've been eating that at every opportunity.
And just now (any excuse to get away from the Tax Return) I've been experimenting with photographing the head of my bass guitar. I haven't played with a band for a couple of years but starting to get the itch again. This instrument I bought second-hand about 20 years ago, and I love it. I've toyed with buying another, but whenever I've been to try others out, none of them sound or feel as good as this to me.
