finally felt well enough to go out with kate and have our pre-xmas catch-up... yeah, well, getting together is the main thing, no matter when it is! had a voucher for vittoria's so we had a nice dinner for half price, then a few drinks up the road and all of a sudden it was midnight! hurrah indeed :-)

made our annual vow to get together more often and do stuff, tho this year i think we'll make it a few months before breaking it, 2011 is starting to look like things are possible (even if some things are even less possible than ever due to intransigence and crapness, *sigh*).

marginally better family news for a friend of mine after a very scary few days - life always bites you in the arse and pulls you back when you most need to be free to move forward, doesn't it.
