Starting the socks to go with the Max hat #1

This is the beginning of the socks that match the Max Hat #1 that I finished last Thursday. They are knit toe-up and I should have them finished by Tuesday. Then the set will be complete. Looks fairly big in this photo, but they really are quite small, so they should fit an infant nicely.
