Radio Days

1. Waving Colin off as he set out on his first training session on the new bike, heading back to bed with the paper, coffee, toast and jam.

2. Running. Running fast out in the cold. Running home through herds of yet more football fans (the other team this time). A soundtrack for the day made up with shouting and cheering on the outside and gentle, brilliant and varied music on the radio on the inside.

3. Dozing, the three of us, on the sofa. The fire on, the dinner roasting and the radio playing 'teddy bears' picnic'.

4. Dinner with Colin's Dad, a warm kitchen, filled with chat and food and cava (of course) and the radio playing teddy bears' picnic. Again.

5. Blethering by fire after dinner with the radio on. I watched Radio Days yesterday. It was a rare and lovely surprise finding it showing. I really love that film, I love the music and Mia Farrow and the atmopshere it creates. Today has been a Radio Day.
