Ready, steady, SWISH!

The village's very first Swishing Party took place tonight. It was conceived by our friend Lisa, and she got a few of us together to organise a clothes swapping event extraordinaire to raise money for the kids' preschool and also Clic Sargent Children's Cancer charity. The event took place at Deneholme, which is a beautiful setting (big thanks to Linda and Tony for their support. There was bubbly, a buffet and lots of beautiful clothes to swap, plus Anna, a beautician, on hand to provide extra pampering. There must have been at least 50 of us in all. I got myself some great stuff - a handbag, some shoes and a Little Black Dress amongst other things. I really enjoyed it, and we must have raised a fair bit of cash (not got the final total yet).
