Wood light
We were out for a walk with the dogs today. A good blue sky interspersed with slow moving chunks of grey cloud. We even had a small amount of sleet. The small access road beside our house wanders through the wood which receive a reduced amount of light as the surrounding fields rise up away from the road.
Just after four the light borke through and I recorded this scene. I love the woods around here, they are really old and mysterious.
Our walking companions today were:
Chep is the oldest (sheep dog) belongs to a neighbours, he is stiffening up and finds it difficult. Also quite deaf. He kind of lives with us.
Milly (touch of fox in her) is Lukes dog. She is very gentle and obedient, beautiful colouring, a great hunter she disappears into the woods for hours on end.
Oscar (Black Jack Russell) a neighbours dog. He has great time for himself and likes to hunt with Milly. Can be narky, loves rich tea biscuits.
Nama (5mth old Golden Colour Jack Russell) is Rita's pride and joy. He loves the walk, annoys the other dogs, making a nuisance of himself, especially Oscar who has no time for him at all. He barks wildly at other dogs and then runs screaming and whining if they even bark back at him.
A real family day out...
