More Meerkats

Up, and to a fireside nook to read a volume on naval history.

For some reason the landlady of The Larkhall Inn considers the Meerkat her totem animal. She keeps a number of graven effigies behind the bar and, in this case, on the mantelpiece in the Snug.

It's probably a very simples reason.
