paper bag "art"

This small assortment of decorated papers and bookmarks is the result of a workshop I took yesterday at our local art supply store. We had a wonderful time dampening and crumpling up ordinary paper grocery bags, then smoothing them out and applying gorgeous colors of acrylic paints with a brayer. Playing with various glitters, foam stamps, and some spray-on metallic webbing was the icing on the cake!

These papers are quite sturdy and I will use them for gift wrap, as background for collages or even for covering handmade books or little boxes.
