Let sleeping dogs lie

My heart goes out to the stray. Through no fault of their own they've been abandoned and left to fend for themselves. This dog was so sweet and gentle just looking to the people for a hand out but not jumping, barking or getting tangled up around peoples legs.

When I came out of the church I sat down to start to eat my sandwich I'd made. He sat beside me and just looked up with those big eyes. Then he curled up on my feet and grabbed a wee siesta.

I gave him the last bite and he was happy.
