Rowing Regatta

First time parents on rowing regatta. It was fascinating. Loved the kids and the whole buzz of the place, the scenery and the athleticism is totally inspiring. Trouble, big trouble this time was the wind and it meant almost total abandonment of the racing schedule, which was a disaster for the teams. Still a good simple introduction for the "Novie" parents anyway!
I included this photo as it shows the "parent" elements of rowing and also the wind in the flags. We were involved in the tent food and constant feeding of rowers, the gear trailers are chocker block with equipment and clothing etc, the bikes are used to follow the race, the parents can be glimpsed socialising alongside the tent, which is what it appears to be all about for the parents!
