Today while I was discovering Ralph Waldo Emerson, through his essay Nature, I was confronted with a quote about the ability of a camera. "In a camera obscura, the butcher's cart, and the figure of one of our own family amuse us." interesting, how Emerson label camera's as having obscura, that is purposefully withholding information.
