Finally got our belated Christmas present to ourselves - a funky espresso / latte maker. Ventured to John Lewis in the pouring rain having been told it's finally in stock. A further £15 knocked off at the till for some reason so we were happy.

Home, unpacked it, set it up. Read the (obviously written by an Italian) instructions and before we knew it the machine was doing the noise. Ahhhh, baristas in the making. Mrs DP got my first attempt - a large latte with frothy milk. Typically my own was a bit luke warm but still a worthy attempt.

Run out of milk now though so we've got to wait til the milkman arrives tomorrow to open our new very local coffee shop again.

Watch out Starbucks!
