The Real January Thaw

Maybe it is a January thaw.... the birds were not cooperating very much today, so I thought I'd walk around the yard and see how much winter damage there may be. I couldn't believe when I came to my oldest hydrangea and saw this leaf bud. It did make me smile, I'm sure it's a bit early though. I know we've not had the warm temperatures to cause some early growth, but anyway I thought it would make a good blip.

This is another surprise today, was a bit torn on what to use for blip.
