Poole

Down to Poole for my postponed birthday weekend - snowed in back in December. Pub lunch en route in Newbury (Winterbourne Arms) then continued to Poole quay. Checked in to the Hotel Du Vin, got upgraded to a deluxe room (roll-tap bath at the end of the bed), dumped bags and headed along the quay for a bracing walk then a warming pint in the Poole Arms.

Dinner in the bistro downstairs to end the day - sublime food and excellent wine.
