Fred took me out to dinner to celebrate my first tax year of being freelance, surviving and, along with my part-time, contract job, matching my income and some more from when I had a full-time job. It's great to have come through the whole redundancy shenanigans and be grinning two years' later. I love my current working life and the variety it brings, both in work and the people I meet.

I should add that Fred was mainly congratulating me on managing to complete my tax return with spontaneously combusting.
