Bloodwork
The doctor responded quickly to my requests for bloodwork for Landon after another long night with him last night. He also requested a repeat chest x-ray. So this morning after dropping Loren, Mayur and Liam off at school, him and I headed back to Kaiser. He had tears in his eyes on the way there, worrying about what kind of hurt the needle would inflict on him. I promised him a smoothie as a treat for being a brave little boy. Once we got in, the nurse found a vein on the first try and he realized he had gotten worked up over nothing. He was so relieved. They did the normal CBC workup as well as the mycoplasma test. Right next door he got a repeat chest x-ray and then left Kaiser with a mango smoothie (and potato chips) in hand. That wasn't so bad.
In the afternoon when we went to pick up his brothers, I looked into the backseat to find him asleep with his hand still in his bag of chips. That's when the iPhone comes in handy, I surely couldn't resist that pic. All of the anticipation of the morning must have worn the lil' guy out. He doesn't take naps anymore, and every day this week he has fallen asleep in a car....a good indication that his illness is still holding on.
Wanting to stay home with Landon and not expose the world to hisour illness, Gary did the soccer and gymnastics drop-offs. Nana and Papa were nice enough to pick Liam up from gymnastics and bring him home, while Gary was at soccer. We ended the evening all together with pizza. :)
