Chapel, St Patrick's College, Kilbirnie

While my son was playing cricket at Kilbirnie field, I went across the road to take photos of the front of the chapel at St Patrick's College. The statue of St Patrick caught my eye, and I took a number of exposures of the statue set against the chapel's concrete massif, or in profile against the overcast sky.

Then, moving around for a close-in shot, I noticed the Christ figure hanging inside the chapel, silhouetted through the windows against the bright sky beyond. The contrast between the two figures - prophet and disciple - captured my attention.
