Sucking Up The Miles

Finally rented a car and headed west then south, initially to try to locate the beach where a spectacular wreck, The American Star, had been beached for over a decade. Couldn't find the beach (though we did a couple of days later), but enjoyed the drive. The island is volcanic, packed with desert spaces and cindery looking mountains with roller coaster roads, as in the pic above and this, in the midlands, which I christened MOUNT BREAST.
