Lake Waban

This is the first of what I assume will be many pictures of Lake Waban, which will now be referred to as "the lake". "Why will I feature so many pictures of the lake?" you may ask. Because it's my FAVORITE part about Wellesley! :) Based on this picture, you can't really tell how gorgeous it is as it's frozen and covered in snow..but just you wait! Even after having a lake view from my room last year and being here for a year and a half, I still have to stop and stare every time I walk by it. The lake is also a large part of the Wellesley culture. The winner of hoop rolling in the spring is thrown into the lake, there's a saying that if you walk around the lake with a boy three times, he'll propose, and one of the 50 things you must do before graduating is walk around the lake. Surprisingly, I have yet to complete this task. It's on my list for the semester and I'll be sure to take a picture upon completion!
