It Doesn't Have to be "The Best"

I had a brilliant day's birding with my friends Mike and Alan. They brought me luck after a sparse day yesterday. Both got Life Ticks and I got four Year Ticks, taking me up to 77.

We saw exceptional birds such as Tawny Owl, Little Egret, White-fronted Goose, Red-legged Partridge and Bittern. We had a pub lunch, a bit of a walk and a good laugh. And we were never more than 11 miles away from home.

So these two weren't "The Best" birds we saw today. This isn't even "The Best" picture that I took. But their duel over that perch really summed up the day.
