perching on the table
We are right in the middle of a very stressful time just now. Chris' sister is pregnant with twins (think I have mentioned before) and after some issues last week and daily monitoring and a transfer to a bigger hospital she is having a c-section tomorrow morning at 28 weeks as one twin is a little bit stressed out. So a very anxious (but exciting as well if that makes sense) time. I don't think I'm going to be able to sleep tonight - I think that when you are a mummy you seem to absorb other people's worries a lot more...easily especially worries that are about babies/children. Fingers crossed for them all.
Other than waiting around for news we haven't been up to much as we are still in semi-is it or isn't it going to happen-chickenpox isolation. And Amelie has been having a lot of trouble with her teeth - they all look ready to burst through but the top ones in particular. I tried Nurofen for Babies rather than Calpol today and it seemed to cheer her up for a bit and then she crashed out and had a long nap and seemed all wrong when she woke up. She then slept on me for a while after that and of course it was too late for her to be sleeping really. Nevertheless she woke up refreshed and we had a quick walk out (2nd one of the day) to meet Daddy off the train as he had been in London all day.
I've noticed a few new things that she can do...she will kiss things when I ask/suggest although when its ''Give mummy a kiss?'' she mostly ignores me. She can say 'ta' when I hand her things she wants but she also sometimes just pretends I'm not even there and refuses to say anything. Her speech is coming on quite a bit too and she is making less repetative noise and more one off sounds. This makes it more and more like she is just speaking in a different language.
