Day 1 Of Ofsted... Over!
Oh what a day!!
Well yesterday it was a bit like close your eyes and pin the tail on the donkey guessing which lesson the Ofsted inspector might visit. Well I didn't actually have to pin the tail on my timetable... I had a good idea which one they would probably come into and it was the one out of the 2 days was the least favourite... sods law!?!
Well I was right... 3rd way through the lesson in he walked, I did my deed handed over the paperwork all above board and neatly in a plastic sleeve. I got on with my lesson, 3 of the kids decided they were going to 'play' up to the inspection, because that would be fun and make us look cool... right!?!
Well they're playing, played into my hands and allowed me to show my abilities with classroom management. One decided he was going to wind another up, wound him up, he responded so the instigator thought he would show off his ' physical skills.' Luckily I was close by and prevented any major incident! All done calmly and professionally! Thank you very much lads... apparently it was observed by another of the class I went as white as a sheet!!! The rest of the lesson went without incident and the inspector left before the end. Job done! I was a bit on edge for the rest of the day but I survived and got home gone 7pm where the lovely R had pork fajitas ready! Yum. I followed this with 2 bottles of really cold Carlsberg and a custard tart... I think I deserved them!
Here's to tomorrow!
