The eastern end of the Union canal, Fountainbridge Edinburgh

Now known as the Edinburgh Quay area.
This canal area has been renovated over the last few years and changed from a run-down area with old tenements and its breweries to an area of modern office and apartment blocks surrounded by restaurants and bars. Very different from last time I was there.

...and just found out that this is the are of Edinburgh where Sean Connery was born and he named his film production company (Fountainbridge Films) after it.
