Oiled Bread

A great use for old cooking oil or fat..pour it onto stale bread on the bird feeder. It's easily absorbed by the bread and, more importantly, if the Starlings in my garden are anything to go by, birds go 'mental' for it. I've had hordes of them in today as well as Robins, Song Thrushes, Blackbirds and Sparrows.
