Wooden Groyne, Aberystwyth North Beach

Well, I felt like my first "Blip" ought to be a cracker, but this was the best I could do. It at least captures the mood of the day (for me it does, anyway). I was kicking myself shortly after because a goosander appeared in the water and was performing some "tricks" - rearing up in the water and flapping its wings. Some potentialy nice shots, but I'd come out with just the camera and a wide-angle lens. I dashed back to the house to get my 55-250 zoom, but by the time I'd got back to the beach the bird had flown. Moral - be prepared, take everything with you. Or, alternatively, chill out - it didn't happen, so what in the greater scheme of things.
