Primeval
This is a small puddle off the Allander river which has been there for as long as I can remember. Not sure what is in it but it has huge gloopy bits of irn bru rusty coloured stuff in it and always has oil on the surface. The river itself is lovely and has brown trout and a wealth of flora and fauna. The trees around are covered in various lichens. The area is off Mugdock Moor and is part of the West Highland Way so is not polluted apart perhaps for this one small pool...... wondered if perphaps an old oil drum or something was buried there creating its own mini pimeval murky microclimate...... I have seen some very dodgey looking people creatures on my walks but perhaps they think the same....... ;P
