Gordale Scar - how not to climb it!

Gordale Scar, near Malham, Yorkshire is one of the natural wonders of the UK. The limestone gully is too huge to capture on camera, and the grotesque shapes of the weathered stone are fantastical. Climbing up the scar is also an invigorating experience - if you do it the right way, of course. This shot captures a party going the wrong way and getting stuck. It does surprise me that people can be so clueless at times, but luckily no one was hurt.
