A glimpse of the sun

I must get on with some work, so this may be my best sight of the sun today, especially with gathering clouds and rain forecast - the view from the sitting room window.

I made several attempts at this shot, trying to keep the red colour of the shutter without over-exposing the wall outside. Any tips on how to improve this would be very welcome.

Out to a jazz concert tonight, so I may not fit much commenting in today.
